Welcome to the New Flowerpot Blog!

Hello! If you’re on this page and you’re a return visitor to Flowerpot, then by now you’ve (hopefully) noticed that things look a bit different around here.

Yes, not too long ago the Flowerpot logo and out site underwent a long-overdue makeover, and now it’s time for the blog to do the same. Why all the changes? Well, recently we had our own makeover, and our website and blog needed to reflect that.

You see, in 2018 Flowerpot passed its five-year anniversary, and as is common when hitting a major milestone, it was time to take stock and look ahead to the next five years and beyond and determine what changes we needed to make to continue to grow.

To that end, the most significant change is that we’ve vastly expanded our services. With the exponential rise in the use and effectiveness of video in digital marketing, we have grown our team in that department to properly position your business in the video marketplace. Whether it’s a 30-second commercial or a longer video telling the story of your company, our team can produce exactly what you need.

Our demo reel will give you an idea of what Flowerpot’s team can create for your business. A dynamic, high-definition, professionally-produced video will catch the eye of your current customers and well as potential leads.

We’re also incredibly proud of our collaboration with Gravitas Impact Premium Coaches – a worldwide network of successful corporate executives who use their expertise and experience to help guide growth companies to new heights.

We’ve traveled with them to events in Scottsdale, St. Louis and New Orleans as we help Gravitas Impact tell their story, far beyond just soliciting new coaches or new businesses. Instead, we showcase the feeling of community that courses through the veins of the organization:

And while we work with business coaches who jet all over the globe, we also get our hands dirty (figuratively) with local farmers. The Pacific Northwest provides a bounty of fresh fruit, which our partners at Oregon Growers turn into delicious fruit spreads, syrups and more. Oregon Growers is an operation that starts and ends in the Pacific Northwest, and we’re proud to work with them to increase their digital footprint to help bring their delicious products greater exposure.

It’s a testament to our versatility that we can work with CEOs and jars of fruit spread, and everything in between, including local journalism. Ernie Geigenmiller is the publisher of Lacamas Magazine, an online lifestyle magazine dedicated to serving the people of Camas, Washington and the surrounding areas. Ernie reports on everything from local events and youth sports activities to business grand openings to city council meetings.

Like many entrepreneurs, Ernie is wearing many hats as he builds the magazine. He puts out a tremendous product that’s of great value to his community, but even the professional storyteller needed an outside perspective to help tell his own story. That’s where Flowerpot stepped in, producing this video to showcase Ernie and his magazine and give people a better idea of why he does what he does:

Storytelling is at the heart of Flowerpot as we move into the next phase of our business. Whether it’s video, blogs, or social media, sharing your company’s story is our passion, and we have the team to do it effectively.

That’s where this blog comes in. We want this space to become a hub for all things Flowerpot – both in terms of what we’re working on now, and what’s happening in the industry at large. Here you’ll get behind-the-scenes footage from our client work, marketing trends you need to be on top of, and a combination of our visual, video and audio work, some of which we embedded above.

It’s a competitive world out there, but increasingly people, especially young people, are gravitating towards companies they feel a deeper connection to, as evidenced by this telling quote from an industry analyst:

“Every consumer has a natural instinct around what makes them ‘stick’ to a brand. The traditional ‘low price’ and ‘reliable service’ mechanics are no longer as effective at driving loyalty. With 66 percent of U.S. consumers spending more with the brands they love, organizations that stick to traditional approaches and don’t explore the new drivers influencing loyalty risk draining profitability and pushing customers away – even when they have the best intentions or are following their historical playbook. It’s time for organizations to take a fresh look at loyalty.”

Is your business best positioned to stay ahead of that curve? It takes more than a buy-one, get-one coupon to develop loyalty. In today’s world people crave connections, even with the businesses they buy from. And there’s no better way to make that connection than with your story.

Flowerpot specializes in helping businesses tell their story with honesty and authenticity. In a digital world of endless content, Flowerpot’s team serves our clients with integrity by delivering on our commitments in a “say-do” mindset. To put it simply, we do what we say we will.

You may know the ins and outs of your industry, and we’re not here to change that. But if video, writing or social media isn’t your forte, we can help. Contact us today to tell us your story, and then let us take that story out to the world from there.
